Why do we have your personal data?
The council has powers to investigate and enforce environmental crimes under the following legislation:
- Environmental Protection Act 1990
- Refuse Disposal (Amenity) Act 1978
- Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005
- Anti-Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014
We undertake these activities in the public interest as part of our Public Task. We handle personal data relating to Fixed Penalty Notices and prosecutions under our official authority for statutory purposes.
