Health and safety policies
As an employer you are required to write a health and safety policy. The policy is a statement of your commitment to health and safety laws and should outline the companies health and safety responsibilities. It should also provide information about safe working practices.
The Independent Regulatory Challenge Panel
If you think the advice you have been given by the Health and Safety Executive or the local authority is incorrect, you should first contact the inspector to attempt to resolve the matter. If you then need to take your concerns further, please contact the Independent Regulatory Challenge Panel who will review the complaint and inform you of its findings. The panel is advisory and the regulators will respect the independence of the panel.
