UPDATE 04 May 2020: Due to the current COVID-19 outbreak the Government has postponed all national elections that were scheduled to be held on or before 7 May 2020 until 6 May 2021. In the Wyre area this relates to the Police and Crime Commissioner Election which was due to be held on 7 May 2020.

Following the making of the Local Government and Police Crime Commissioner (Coronavirus) (Postponement of Elections and Referendums) (England and Wales) Regulations 2020, any Local Elections, By-Elections, Neighbourhood Planning Referendums and Parish Polls that have been called, or may be called, will also not take place until after 5 May 2021, or until such a time that the Government brings forward this later date once COVID-19 rules have been lifted.
