Food waste caddy
Household food waste collections started in Wyre in April 2026. Food waste is collected weekly on your usual collection day, and must be presented at the front of your property.
What can go in my food waste caddy?
- All uneaten food and plate scrapings
- Dairy products, cheese and eggs, including shells
- Bread, cakes and pastries
- Rice, pasta and beans
- Fruit and vegetables, including peelings
- Raw and cooked meat and fish, including bones
- Tea bags and coffee grounds
Remember to recycle any mouldy and out of date food, including ready meals removed from their packaging.
What cannot go in my food waste caddy?
- Packaging of any kind
- Any liquids, such as milk, oil or liquid fat
- Any material that is not food waste
