Personal searches
We are currently working with HM Land Registry to migrate our local land charges register service to their central digital register. From 19 December 2025 we will no longer provide a local land charges search service.
After this date, our Local Land Charges Register will be migrated to HM Land Registry’s national register. You will be able to access the new digital service through Portal, Business Gateway and on HM Land Registry’s GOV.UK pages.
For more information visit GOV.UK.
5 December 2025 will be the last date we will be accepting personal search requests.
To carry out a personal search of the Local Land Charges Register, we are still using the same system as we did during Covid, although this may change once we commence the Land Registry project. As the register is held on three separate systems, the following has been put into place. All systems must be checked to complete a search, it is the responsibility of the person carrying out the personal search to identify the land/property and to make a note of information held on the register. No printouts or photographs can be taken of the data provided on this website. Wyre council does not have an obligation to answer any supplementary enquiries when a person is making a personal search.
Records on our Idox system can only be administered by the Land Charges office. Please email an application for data to landcharges@wyre.gov.uk . Please include the address and a plan of the property/land to be searched, showing clearly what the search area is to be, including garages and parking spaces. The results will be returned by email. Please note: It is not the council's responsibility to determine the curtilage of a property/ search area. From 2004 all new data has been spatially registered therefore registration is attached to the land, not an address.
The remaining registers can be viewed here. You should not download or save this file, only view it from this website to ensure you have the most up to date information:
