Sustainability appraisal scoping report June 2014
This scoping report represents the initial stage in the sustainability appraisal (SA) process for the then emerging local plan. Its purpose was to:
- set the scope and level of detail of the SA
- identify relevant plans, policies, programmes and initiatives that will inform the SA process and the local plan
- identify relevant baseline information
- identify key sustainability issues and problems
- present an SA framework, consisting of sustainability objectives and indicators, against which the local plan can be assessed
