Community Infrastructure Grants
Register Your Interest for Funding
Wyre Council will soon be opening applications for the next round of the Community Infrastructure Grant Programme, a £1 million fund to support improvements to community spaces across the borough.
We are now inviting expressions of interest from organisations who would like to apply.
About the programme
This funding programme is designed to help enhance important local spaces such as:
- Community centres
- Village halls
- Sports facilities
- Heritage buildings
The aim is to create more accessible, sustainable and welcoming places that better support the needs of local residents.
Following the success of the first round, which funded projects in Thornton, Garstang and Poulton-le-Fylde, this new round will continue to invest in spaces that bring communities together and improve everyday life.
What funding can support
Grants of £20,000 or more will be available to support projects that:
- Improve or upgrade existing community buildings
- Increase access and inclusivity
- Reduce environmental impact and improve energy efficiency
- Enable more activities, services and events
- Strengthen community connections and local pride
Who can apply
The programme is open to not-for-profit organisations based in Wyre, including:
- Charities
- Community and voluntary groups
- Parish and town councils
- Sports clubs
Why register your interest
