How to pay your council tax

We collect council tax on behalf of local agencies including:

The amount of council tax you pay depends on how much certain public bodies in your area need to spend to deliver local services, and also how much they get from elsewhere. The amount you have to pay also depends on which valuation band your home is placed in.

A table of council tax charges 2016/17 by parish is available.

This year (2016/17) a local home will pay a total of £183.31 (band D) for the services we deliver. This generates approximately £6.5m which together with Government grants, business rates and external funding totalling £7.7m funds our net expenditure of £14.2m.
