National Parking Platform

From Wednesday 7 October 2026, drivers parking in Wyre will be able to benefit from a new innovative way to pay for parking through the National Parking Platform (NPP).

By joining the National Parking Platform, Wyre Council allows motorists to choose the parking payment app that works best for them, rather than being limited to a single provider. This helps to deliver a more convenient parking experience for all residents, visitors and businesses.

What is the National Parking Platform?

The National Parking Platform is a government-backed digital platform that enables multiple approved parking payment providers to operate seamlessly across all participating parking locations nationwide.

Rather than downloading a new app when visiting different towns and cities, drivers can use their preferred and trusted parking app wherever the National Parking Platform is available.

How to Pay

Payment can be made directly through your preferred payment provider’s app on a smartphone, or by downloading the app if it is not installed.

Where payment machines are available, these can still be used in the designated car parks.

Available Payment Providers

Available providers may include:

• APCOA Connect
• AppyParking
• Caura
• JustPark
• PayByPhone
• RingGo

Each provider has its own app, contact number and fees. NPP is actively working to add more payment providers in the future.

Fees

Fees are set by each payment provider and may vary. Any additional SMS charges relate to optional text confirmations and parking expiry reminders.
