Wyre Council can confirm that following a final inspection of the building on Lord Street, Fleetwood, the road closure and restrictions affecting neighbouring properties have now been lifted.
The council is satisfied that the necessary works have been completed and that the immediate safety concerns that led to the restrictions being put in place have been addressed.
Businesses affected by the restrictions are now able to resume trading as normal and Wyre Council remains committed to supporting businesses that may have been affected by the road closure.
The road is now open to all traffic, including buses. Blackpool Transport are completing additional inspections and safety checks and are hoping to resume tram services tomorrow.
Public safety has remained the council's primary consideration throughout this process. We would like to thank residents, businesses and visitors for their patience and understanding while the precautionary measures were in place.
As the matter has now been resolved, the council will no longer be pursuing the court action that had been provisionally scheduled for this week.
