Garstang to host Makers Market featuring local traders

Garstang will welcome something new and exciting this spring as the Makers Market makes its first ever visit to the town on Sunday 22 March, from 11am - 4pm, centred around Booths and The Rope Walk.

This special event will bring together talented local makers, artisan food producers, skilled crafters and independent small businesses for a day of shopping, exploration and community spirit, right in the heart of one of Lancashire’s most historic and welcoming market towns.

Garstang Makers Market will feature a mix of stallholders, including:

  • Artisan food and drink producers offering distinctive, high-quality flavours
  • Local bakers showcasing freshly baked breads, cakes and sweet treats
  • Makers of handmade gifts, homeware and artwork, perfect for unique finds
  • Independent street food traders serving delicious dishes from around the region

The event has something for everyone - whether you're searching for a unique gift, meeting friends for lunch or simply enjoying Garstang’s vibrant high street and independent offer. Visitors can also look forward to live music and free children’s crafting activities throughout the day.

This event reflects Wyre Council’s corporate priority of Growth and Prosperity, highlighting the council’s dedication to developing thriving, welcoming town centres and championing events that enhance the local area for residents, businesses and visitors alike.

Councillor Lynne Bowen, Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Health and Community Engagement at Wyre Council, said:

“We’re delighted to welcome the Makers Market to Garstang this month. It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate creativity, support local artisans and bring something fresh and vibrant to the town centre.

We can’t wait for residents and visitors alike to enjoy the unique stalls and brilliant atmosphere it will bring.”
