Wyre Council reveals finalists for the 2025 Wyre Business Awards

Wyre Council is delighted to announce the finalists for the Wyre Business Awards 2025, with 34 outstanding businesses shortlisted across 15 categories.

Tickets are now on sale for the awards ceremony, which will take place on Tuesday 21 October at the iconic Marine Hall in Fleetwood.  

This year’s event promises to be a glamorous celebration of business excellence, themed around the golden 1930s in honour of the venue’s 90th anniversary. The awards ceremony will culminate in the announcement of the prestigious Wyre Business of the Year Award.  

Guests will enjoy an unforgettable night hosted by acclaimed comedian and actor Justin Moorhouse, with live entertainment from Frankly Jazz, one of the North’s leading jazz ensembles and a sumptuous gala dinner, served by the award-winning team at Twelve.   

Organised by Wyre Council’s Economic Development Team, with support from internal departments and external judges from the local business community, the awards celebrate excellence across all sectors and stages of business development in Wyre.  

This year saw over 100 entries, ranging from ambitious startups to established enterprises. Judges praised the high calibre of submissions, which were assessed on criteria including:  

  • Business performance  
  • Innovation  
  • Customer service  
  • Environmental responsibility  
  • Social impact 

The awards continue to grow year on year, shining a spotlight on the strength and diversity of Wyre’s business landscape. The ceremony will be attended by businesses, partners, sponsors, and judges from across Wyre and the Fylde Coast, offering a valuable opportunity to connect, celebrate, and showcase entrepreneurial success.

The new Pride in Place Award was judged anonymously over the Summer, and with entries online. The judges evaluated businesses frontages, looking at everything from rooflines to forecourts to see which business had the most ‘kerb appeal.’
