This week we were made aware of an alleged incident involving enforcement officers in Cleveleys on 13 May.
On the same day we promptly contacted our contractor, NES, to ask that they undertake an immediate investigation. The officers who were working in Cleveleys on 13 May have been moved off the Wyre contract with immediate effect until the investigation has concluded.
Wyre Council does not condone aggressive or abusive behaviour under any circumstances, neither from our staff and contractors, or directed towards our staff and our contractors. We take these allegations very seriously and will not tolerate escalations of the matter which are threatening or abusive in nature to any party involved.
