Wyre’s business winners announced for 2023

Wyre business award winners

Business success was celebrated at the Wyre Business Awards 2023 this week where local businesses came together to celebrate their passion, expertise and contribution to Wyre’s economic development.

The awards were sponsored by The Baxter Group Limited and Balfour Beatty and co-sponsors Lancashire Careers Hub, Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire, Boost Lancashire and Discover Wyre. The categories were sponsored by Parkinsons, Hillhouse Enterprise Zone, Glasdon Group Limited, Federation of Small Businesses, Arcadis and Party Chest.

The spectacular event held at Marine Hall in Fleetwood was attended by around 300 people from across Wyre and the Fylde coast, plus partner organisations, event sponsors and award judges. The iconic venue was transformed into a ‘Willy Wonka themed wonderland’ with some fantastic photo opportunities that guests took full advantage of, with chocolate factory gates at the entrance, decadent sweet treat centrepieces and even an oompah-loompa to pose with!

At the event Planning Policy and Economic Development Portfolio Holder at Wyre Council Councillor Le Marinel commented,

“It has been such a wonderful evening. This year, we saw an incredible number of inspiring applications which showcased the amazing work that businesses in Wyre are doing.
