Wyre’s budget 2022/23

Wyre's budget

Wyre Council has recently published its medium term financial plan which reflects its budgetary requirements until 2025/26.

The council must balance the pressures on funding with demand for our services and we are, in the same way as other organisations, restricted by the amount of money (revenue and capital) we have to spend. As such we have to set our corporate priorities, which are outlined in our business plan.

The council continues to face significant challenges ahead and going forward we will have to manage a diverse range of services with decreasing resources and heightened customer expectations.

In order to respond effectively to the needs of the community the council must use resources effectively, delivering the best outcomes for local people and actively seeking new ways to improve the wellbeing of the community.

As such, we are seeking your views on how our budget is set. A consultation is now open for residents and business owners in Wyre to complete.

If you would like to have your say please complete the consultation.

The consultation will close on 30 November 2021. Paper copies are available upon request.
