The Cleveleys Together Partnership Board would like to hear residents and businesses’ views on how Cleveleys can be improved over the next 15 years.

The board is launching consultation to ask members of the public what their thoughts of Cleveleys are. A discussion session will be held on Wednesday 27 October from 12 – 6pm at St Andrews Church in Cleveleys or alternatively the consultation will be available online until Sunday 31 October.

Cleveleys Together has been established to provide a collaborative link between key stakeholders in and around Cleveleys to develop a Regeneration and Investment Framework for the town and its surrounding areas. The primary focus is to improve the economic growth and prosperity of the area.

In the consultation, the board would like to hear the public’s views on Cleveleys as a place to live, work and visit.

At the discussion session, the group will discuss topics on Cleveleys as:

  • A place for a great childhood and family life
  • A place with a welcoming, involved community that looks after itself and its visitors
  • A place that is happy, healthy and active
  • A place that is sustainable and environmentally responsible
  • A place of opportunity - for thriving business, good work and enterprise

Discussion groups will be 40 minutes long starting at 12.30pm / 2.00pm / 3.30 pm and 5.15 pm – but with plenty of opportunity to talk before and after to our consultants for those who just want to drop by.

Councillor Alice Collinson, Portfolio Holder for Planning and Economic Development, commented: “The council and partnership board are keen to hear from residents and businesses in Cleveleys on their thoughts on how Cleveleys can be improved over the next 15 years.

“It is the hope of the board that this consultation will enable them to apply for Government funding to make their vision a reality.

“I would encourage anyone that lives or works in Cleveleys to join us at the consultation event to view the proposals and ask experts questions to help us to get the best outcome for Cleveleys.”

Speaking about the Board, Andy Morton, Chair of the Board, said “The board is enthusiastic about the opportunity that has been provided and really wants to help make a difference to the residents, traders and investors in Cleveleys by representing the community positively in order to secure funding and support for the regeneration projects.”

You can book a seat at the discussion group by emailing regeneration@wyre.gov.uk. Alternatively, Wyre Council will be hosting the consultation online for residents and businesses to have their say. The consultation will open online from until Sunday 31 October.
