Tell us your stories of Fleetwood

The Mount Lodge
The Mount Lodge

Wyre Council and This Great Adventure, are working with Fleetwood residents, local organisations and groups to make digital trails that bring the voices and stories of Fleetwood to life.

Over the next twelve months, five digital trails will appear in Fleetwood, exploring the past, present, and future of the town. Through themes like art, nature, wellbeing and community, these trails will give visitors and residents new ways to explore the town and discover the hidden stories of Fleetwood.

If you have a story to share about Fleetwood, join us at our workshop events.

It could be a story about the history of Fleetwood, personal and family memories, or even about what’s happening right now.

Maybe you have a picture of a forgotten Fleetwood treasure, or perhaps you just want to share your thoughts about the place where you live and your vision for the future.

Between 18 and 23 September, This Great Adventure will be collecting stories to create Fleetwood’s first resident led digital heritage trail at a number of creative workshops.

If you have any Fleetwood objects, photos or other memorabilia that you want to share and that tell a story about Fleetwood, bring it along – or share a picture of it with us – and we’ll be collecting stories in-person on the day.

Find us at The Mount Lodge, Saturday 18 September between 12pm and 4:30pm, Fleetwood Market, Tuesday 21 September between 9:30am and 4pm. Healthier Fleetwood shop at Affinity Outlet, Wednesday 22 September between 9:30am and 5pm.

Fleetwood has been selected to receive a share of a £95 million heritage regeneration fund from Historic England. The Finding Fleetwood Trail is one aspect of Historic England’s fund in Fleetwood to create new ways to champion and revive the country’s historic high streets through the High Streets Heritage Action Zones scheme.
