Bowling permits

Outdoor bowls is a fantastic, low‑impact activity suitable for all ages. It’s a great way to stay active, build flexibility and muscle strength, and support your overall health and wellbeing.

Wyre Council owns and operates three bowling greens across the borough:

  • Ashdell Bowling Green, Thornton‑Cleveleys
  • Memorial Park Bowling Green, Fleetwood
  • Jean Stansfield Memorial Park Bowling Green, Poulton‑le‑Fylde

Bowling Permit Types

We offer three types of permits to suit how and when you like to play:

Summer Season Permit

  • Valid 1 April – 30 September
  • Access to: Ashdell, Memorial Park, and Jean Stansfield Memorial Park

Winter Season Permit

  • Valid 1 October – 31 March
  • Access to: Ashdell and Memorial Park

(Please note: Jean Stansfield Memorial Park is closed during winter)

Annual Permit

  • Valid for 12 months from the date of purchase
  • Access to greens throughout the year, with seasonal restrictions applying

Access codes are strictly non-transferable and must not be shared with others. A permit allows entry for one named individual only.

Your permit fee directly supports the upkeep and maintenance of our bowling greens. Thank you for helping keep them in great condition.
