In partnership with Blackpool and Fylde, Wyre Council have produced supplementary planning guidance (SPG), which provides advice to applicants and agents on the preparation of high quality, sustainable designs for planning permission applications and other developments.
The principal aims are:
- to promote high quality design in all house extensions
- to provide applicants with guidance on the minimum standards of design and space, which the council will expect proposals to meet
- to provide design advice for home extensions, even where planning permission is not needed
