Garstang Walking Festival is back for 2022
Taking place from Saturday 30 April to Sunday 8 May it’s the perfect way to explore the beautiful countryside around Garstang, Rural Wyre, the Forest of Bowland and the Fylde Plain.
Garstang Walking Festival is coordinated by the Friends of Garstang Walking Festival, supported by Wyre Council and takes place every year in springtime. Over the nine days you can take part in all sorts of guided walks from short wellbeing walks to riverside rambles, historic walks, dog friendly walks, Nordic walking and evening strolls – all led by the friendliest walk leaders who bring the history and nature of the area to life. There will also be walks that are suitable for trampers, all-terrain electric vehicles designed for people with differing abilities so that everyone can access the countryside.
During the festival you’ll get to take in beautiful areas in and around Garstang and nearby spots including Nicky Nook, Brock Valley, Winmarleigh, Abbeystead, the Forest of Bowland, the riverside and the coastline.
All walks are graded from easy to hard, with some tramper friendly routes, so whatever your ability there's something to choose from.
