A ramble across fields and canal side paths South of Garstang. We pass the Dewlay cheese makers and cross the River Wyre, returning along the Lancaster Cabal towpath, rich in wild flowers and birdlife

G2.1 The Dam that Leaked
This is a moderately strenuous walk that starts with a climb up Nicky Nook to gain a view of some of Fylde Water Board’s reservoirs. One of these dams was beset by problems that took years to resolve.

G2.2 Glasson Dock and Galgate - two villages with a shared history
A walk with splendid views from Conder Green to Galgate, returning via Glasson Dock and the connecting canal. Visiting a splendid Victorian viaduct and a disused railway.

G2.3 Bluebell Walk
A short walk through a beautiful Bluebell wood, a short steep climb to St John’s Church and then an easy country walk along farm tracks back to the Village Hall for afternoon tea (extra charge).

G2.4 Springtime Around Nicky Nook
A stroll from Scorton over Nicky Nook into the lovely valley of Grizedale taking in some upland habitats and woodland glades. Bring your dog with you too.

G2.5 Sunset Moments on the Mount
A short inspirational walk with the Fleetwood Wellbeing Way team, following the route of the Wellbeing Way. A warming brew will be available at the Mount Pavilion.

G3.1 Wyre Way Day 1
Part 1 of a 3 day walk along the Wyre Way from Morecambe Bay to the Forest of Bowland fells. From St. Michael’s village hall, we take transport to Knott End.

A short walk with views of the Lune Estuary from Glasson to Conder Green following the Lancaster Canal and the old railway.

A country walk linking Elswick, Lancashire’s ‘Best Kept Village’ 2023, and Great Eccleston, and including a Wyre Riverside walk.
