G5.6 Catterall Meander with Wyre Rivers Trust

Join the Friends of Garstang Walking Festival Volunteers and Wyre Rivers Trust to stroll across pasture to reach the River Calder and the Lancaster Canal, returning alongside the riverbank.

Some historic features and river management topics will be highlighted on route.

This three mile walk is graded easy.

  • Any Medication Required
  • Clothing appropriate to the Weather Conditions
  • Stout Footwear – Flip Flop style footwear not allowed.
  • A Drink
  • Sunscreen & Insect Repellent, if required.

A ranger /walk leader will be at the start of an activity whatever the weather. In extreme conditions, the leader of the group will take a decision on the day whether or not cancel.
