Heritage Open Days - Fleetwood Museum

Heritage open days 2023

This independent museum introduces visitors to the fascinating history of Fleetwood.

From the original sand hills to the planned early Victorian town, through the years of being an important fishing port to the home of "Fishermans Friend" lozenges.

Located in the original Customs House built in 1836, Fleetwood Museum tells the story of how this Victorian town developed, who played a part, the fishing industry and businesses involved, lifeboats and rescues made, salt mines and much more. View our 1893 fishing smack "Harriet" listed on the National Ships Register and finish off your tour in our coffee house. View local books and gifts in our museum shop or browse for a 50p book in our pre-owned book shop next to the museum.

Outside of Heritage Open Days our normal opening times are Tuesday - Saturday, April until the end of November, 1030am-4pm when a small entrance fee is payable.
