Winter coastal foraging workshop

Fleetwood beach with rossall tower in the background

Discover delicious plants and seaweeds on the shore, and learn how to safely and sustainably forage for wild food!

We will start with searching for edible coastal plants, followed by an exploration on the shore to look for seaweeds and nutritious species to cook up. We’ll then head back to Rossall Point Tower to warm up with a hot drink, and a tasting session including our finds from the day!

The workshop is vegetarian and vegan friendly, however please inform us beforehand of any allergies or dietary requirements. Shellfish foraging will not be part of this workshop, however we will discuss the guidelines for sustainably foraging shellfish and other marine creatures for those who are interested.

This takes place on Saturday 18 February from 1pm-3:30pm. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the activity to allow for registration.
