Heritage Open Days - Garstang Fairtrade Heritage Walk

Join members of the Garstang Fairtrade team for short walk to the Garstang Quakers where we will stop for Fairtrade refreshments and walk back to the town centre.

We will find out about how Garstang became the world’s first Fairtrade town and enjoy views over the river, canal and farmland scenery of Garstang and up into the Bowland hills.

Tramper friendly

If you wish to borrow a tramper from Wyre, please email greatoutdoors@wyre.gov.uk or phone 01253 887502, to make sure there is a tramper available.

There is no need to book just turn up.

What to bring with you

  • any medication required
  • clothing appropriate to the weather conditions
  • appropriate footwear – flip flop style footwear not allowed
  • a drink and snacks

Poor weather

A ranger/walk leader will be at the start of an activity whatever the weather. In extreme conditions, the leader of the group will take a decision on the day whether or not cancel.
