Garstang Walking Festival - Wildlife of the Upper River Brock

Exploring one of the Brock rivers that run from the Bleasdale fells in search of freshwater and riverside wildlife with the Wyre River Trust and Wyre Coast and Countryside.

Being beside the river this will be a walk where wellies could be useful. Along with your binoculars and a hand lens if you have one. We may even do a bit of river dipping.

This is a family friendly activity and suitable for all ages, but the parent or guardian must stay with children and under 18`s at all times.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the start for registration.

Please bring with you;

  • clothing appropriate to the weather conditions
  • stout footwear
  • a drink
  • sunscreen and insect repellent, if required
  • lunch, tea/coffee flask and water
  • binoculars
  • hand lens
  • wellingtons
