Forton extension
The Forton Extension masterplan is a development framework designed to guide the delivery of 310 houses, employment uses, a neighborhood centre (neighbourhood hall and small convenience store) and extension to the existing primary school. The Masterplan requires substantial areas of green infrastructure as part of future development proposals.
Public consultation on a draft Masterplan was undertaken between 16 December 2019 and 20 January 2020. The summary of main matters highlight the key points made during the consultation and the main amendments that have been made as a result.
The Masterplan, which has been produced by Hollins Strategic Land on behalf of the landowners, has now been approved by Wyre council as a framework to guide the development of land allocated at Forton.
