Businesses across the borough now have extra time to enter the Wyre Business Awards 2026, with the deadline for submissions extended until Friday 11 September.
Proudly organised by Wyre Council, the awards are the borough's biggest celebration of local business success, shining a spotlight on the organisations that power Wyre's economy, from ambitious start-ups and micro enterprises to established businesses making a real difference in their communities.
Independently judged and considering all aspects of business excellence, the awards also value the voice of the community. A simple mention or show of support from a customer or fellow business can make a meaningful impact, reinforcing that hard work is recognised, appreciated and worth celebrating.
The 2026 ceremony will take place on Tuesday 10 November at the iconic Marine Hall in Fleetwood, bringing together businesses from across the borough for a winter wonderland-themed evening of celebration. Guests will enjoy a high-quality gala dinner created by the award-winning Twelve Restaurant alongside entertainment in a memorable setting.
This year's Winter Wonderland theme will transform the venue into a sparkling setting of icy blues, silver, white and subtle winter hues, creating the perfect backdrop for an evening of recognition, networking and celebration. Award-winning comedian, writer and broadcaster Alun Cochrane will host the evening as Master of Ceremonies, while talented harpists from Harps North West will provide live music during the drinks reception, helping to create a magical atmosphere for guests.
The extension gives businesses additional time to complete and submit their applications, ensuring as many organisations as possible have the opportunity to showcase their achievements and gain recognition for their success.
