Wyre Council is proud to announce its participation in the UK’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF) 2025, taking place from 20–22 May in Leeds.

The three-day event connects over 16,000 people, places and businesses to drive sustainable, inclusive and transformative investment and regeneration.

As part of a dynamic Fylde Coast partnership with Blackpool and Fylde Councils, Wyre will be exhibiting at the event to represent the Fylde Coast and highlight the region’s investment potential and regeneration ambitions.

Wyre’s presence at UKREiiF alongside Blackpool and Fylde Councils reflects a shared commitment to regional growth and collaboration. The Fylde Coast partnership will highlight the area’s collective strengths, from coastal regeneration and clean energy to housing and infrastructure development.

Wyre Council will be exhibiting at Stand D40 in New Dock Hall on Tuesday 20 May where it will present its ambitions for economic development and spotlight two of its most ambitious regeneration and investment opportunities: the Hillhouse Technology Enterprise Zone and the Fleetwood Waterfront Masterplan.

Wyre Council will present the Hillhouse Technology Enterprise Zone as a prime location for advanced manufacturing and clean energy innovation. The site is being developed into a world-class hub for the chemical and polymer industries, with a growing focus on green hydrogen production. This aligns with the council’s vision to support the UK’s transition to net zero while creating high-value jobs and attracting global investment.

Wyre Council will also showcase its bold plans for the Fleetwood Waterfront, a key regeneration area that includes:

  • The redevelopment of the iconic Marine Hall, enhancing its role as a cultural and community anchor.
  • The refurbishment of Fleetwood Leisure Centre, promoting health and wellbeing.
  • Public realm improvements to create a more attractive and accessible seafront.
  • The development of new beach huts, adding vibrancy and boosting tourism appeal.

These projects are part of a wider strategy to unlock the town’s potential, improve quality of life for residents, and attract visitors and investors to the area.

Councillor Michael Vincent, Leader of Wyre Council, commented:

“UKREiiF is a fantastic platform to showcase Wyre’s ambition and potential, unlock economic potential, attract inward investment, and deliver long-term benefits for local communities. From the innovation at Hillhouse to the transformation of Fleetwood’s seafront, we’re creating places where people want to live, work, and invest.

“From our thriving market towns to our beautiful coastline and ambitious development plans, Wyre is full of opportunity. This forum allows us to showcase our investment-ready sites and connect with key partners and investors who share our vision for sustainable and inclusive growth and who can help us bring our vision to life.”

Wyre Council’s presence at the event underscores its commitment to sustainable growth, economic development, and collaborative regeneration across the borough.
