Councillor Steve Nicholls is serving his second consecutive term as Mayor of the borough until May 2027, while continuing his dedicated service as Conservative Councillor for Hardhorn with Highcross ward, a role he has held since May 2023.
He was Deputy Mayor for the municipal year 2025-26 and has served as a member of the Licensing Committee. He is an active member of the Poulton Rotary Club and the Friends of Jean Stansfield Park. Over the years he has supported numerous charitable causes, including Fleetwood Youth Hub, the King’s Trust, the Army Benevolent Fund and The Salvation Army home in Fleetwood. He has also shown strong support for the Veterans Garden at Norcross and attended VE Day services and celebrations at Fleetwood Memorial Park.
Councillor Nicholls has appointed Westview Community Association, a Fleetwood based voluntary organisation dedicated to supporting and improving the lives of people in the Westview area, and The Pantry, a local food bank and community support service helping those in need with food and practical support, as his chosen charities for his second term as Mayor.
Councillor Steven Livesey will be supporting the Mayor as his Deputy, and Mrs Barbara Livesey is the Deputy Mayors Consort.
