Wyre town centre CCTV
Wyre closed-circuit television (CCTV) system is designed to make the borough a safer and more welcoming place at any time of the day or night.
There are 30 cameras in the council's CCTV system. They are operated from the Civic Centre in Poulton-le-Fylde. A map of each area can be accessed below:
Wyre Council is registered with the Information Commissioners Office and has clear procedures outlined in a the code of practice which includes how the system is used and when to disclose information.
Accessing personal data
Wyre Council is obliged to supply individuals with their personal data under the Data Protection Act 2018 incorporating the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). Individuals wishing to access their personal information contained within CCTV images should contact the council's Information Governance Manager in the first instance.
