Wyre Estuary BioBlitz

Rosy maple moth

Join Wyre's Great Outdoor Team for an action packed 24 hours assessing and exploring the habitats and species of the Wyre Estuary!

During every BioBlitz, wildlife experts and general public work together to find and identify as many species of plants, animals and fungi as possible within the 24 hours. All the data that is collected will be documented and passed onto national databases that monitor wildlife.

Everyone is welcome!

No experience required, just bring your wellies/boots, outdoor clothing, smartphone, camera and binoculars if you have them. Experienced naturalists and ecologists of any specialism or interest are also invited to join us and take part.

You could also get involved in a week of surveying for wildlife in the Wyre Estuary area from Monday 10 June to Saturday 15 June for more information please email greatoutdoors@wyre.gov.uk
