Hedgelaying is a vital tool in the management of Hedgerows; that helps keep the hedge stock proof, promotes growth and provides essential habitat and food for local wildlife. Please note this activity can be strenuous, at times.
All tools provided.
Places are limited on the training workshop.
Spectators are very welcome - come along and see the Hedgelaying in progress and find out more about this traditional countryside skill, as well as the local Brock & Calder Landscape project, at any time during the session.
Please note - there may be a short walk to the Hedgelaying site, and this is an upland hill farm, with undulating terrain.
This is a joint event between Wyre Coast & Countryside Service, Wyre Rivers Trust – Brock & Calder Landscape Project and the Lancashire & Westmorland Hedgelaying Association.
