24 November – responses to the Main Modifications consultation have now been forwarded to the Inspector who will give these due consideration as he moves towards completion of his final report; in the meantime, no new evidence or submissions should be sent.  Library section EL7 contains the consultation responses.

12 October – The council has prepared a schedule setting out the proposed Main Modifications. Consultation on the Main Modifications is being held over a six week period from 12 October to 5.00pm to 23 November 2022. The consultation documents can be viewed at the bottom of this page.

28 September – Examination hearing sessions have now concluded and the Council is now progressing an updated Modifications schedule which is expected to progress to public consultation in the near future.  Following the close of that consultation the Inspector will view responses to proposed Main Modifications to assist his final report considerations. No further evidence should be submitted to the Inspector unless requested.

27 September -  the morning and afternoon hearing sessions scheduled for 28 September are now both expected to be concluded in the morning period commencing at 9.30am.

22 September – hearing agendas have now been added to a new library section EL4 below.

9 September - The Council have also supplied updated draft schedules of proposed Modifications together with a Tracked changes version of the Local Plan and for ease of reference these are also included in the EL3 library section.

9 September – responses to the Inspector’s Matters Issues and Questions have now been added to library sections EL2 and EL3 below.  Please do not submit any further evidence prior to the hearings unless requested by the Inspector.  The Programme Officer will be in touch with hearing participants and other declared attendees ahead of the sessions scheduled for 27-28 September – any further attendees are requested to contact the Programme Officer beforehand.

30 August - The Council have produced an updated Housing Implementation Strategy report and this is now accessible via library item EL1.006.  Any comments regarding this document which are relevant to the Matters Issues and Questions should be covered in hearing statements.

23 June - Recent correspondence between the Council and Inspector has been added to the library as EL1.004a to EL.004c. This exchange has informed the preparation of the MIQs which have now been published as EL1.005b alongside a covering email to representors.  This latter email (EL1.005a) includes a note that hearing dates of 27-28 September are now anticipated.  Any observers wishing to attend the hearings should advise the Programme Officer in good time ahead of the start date.

9 June To assist participants involved in the Examination process, the Council have produced a track changes version of the Plan incorporating proposed Modifications to date - this is accessible via library item EL1.003.

9 June - a letter to the Council from the Inspector has been added to the library as EL1.004a.

20 May – Prospective hearing dates of 27-29 September have now been advised to representors – see library item EL1.001a for this and related information. Further information is expected via the MIQs (Matters Issues and Questions) which are anticipated to be available by 24 June. No new evidence should be submitted to the Inspector in advance of the MIQs but enquiries of an administrative nature may be sent via the Programme Officer.
