The best of Wyre's builders have been recognised at the twelfth annual 'Building Excellence' Awards ceremony held at Wyre Civic Centre on Friday 25 February 2011.
The prestigious awards are organised by Wyre Borough Council's Building Control Team to celebrate building excellence and showcase the high quality workmanship of local builders who achieve exemplary standards.
In 2010, the team processed around 600 applications for projects, with a total value of over £60 million, and made 8,000 site visits.
This year's winners were selected from an impressive shortlist of 10 firms selected from 480 completed projects.
Councillor Barry Birch, Cabinet Member with responsibility for building control, said: "We are very proud and pleased that the awards have achieved considerable success in both recognising and promoting quality in the local building industry.
"They are awards for excellence and it is a great pleasure to welcome all the companies to the awards for the first time."
The following winners were presented their awards by the Mayor and Mayoress of Wyre Councillor Russell and Mrs Christine Forsyth:

Eighth-time sponsors of these special awards are Builders Supplies (West Coast) Ltd, who were pleased to recognise the excellent efforts of the year's winners.
Managing Director Peter Worthington said: "We are once again delighted to support this excellent award scheme which recognises and rewards builders for their commitment to delivering outstanding quality. We would like to congratulate all of the winners who have made a special contribution to the building industry locally."
