Free skating sessions in Wyre
Published on Thursday 31st May 2012
Wyre Council is offering free Sportivate skating sessions to 14-25 year olds.
This exciting new sports programme will run for six weeks on Wednesday evenings from 13 June -18 July, 6-7pm at Fleetwood High School and includes skateboards, scooters and blades.
Qualified, experienced coaches will provide expert skating tuition and newly learned skills can then be tested on a variety of ramps.
Safety equipment and a limited number of skateboards will be available to use.
To take part, a registration form must be completed and signed by a parent or guardian for anyone under the age of 17 years. Forms will be available from coaches at the sessions or can be downloaded at wyre.gov.uk/sportivate.
Funded by Sport England's Sportivate lottery programme, which seeks to provide teenagers and young adults with opportunities to participate in regular sporting activity, sessions are free and everyone is welcome.
