Following warnings of Storm Agnes hitting Wyre this week, we have taken the decision to close the storm boards along our coast.
Storm boards block walkways onto the promenade and help protect against coastal flooding.
We are expecting rain and strong winds of around 60mph across the borough with high tides and coastal winds expected to be considerably stronger.
We advise members of the public to avoid the coast as a safety precaution during this bad weather.
