Some tough decisions had to be made by youngsters from Fleetwood High School when they were put "in charge" of council coffers for an afternoon.
The Year 7 students were taking part in a Pupil Power exercise, run by Wyre Borough Council, that challenged them to get the most out of a tight budget and decide which public services they would have to lose to balance the books.
The debate was guided by Wyre councillors and among those considered less of a priority by pupils were parks, Tourist Information Centres and public toilets.
Pupil Power, which is open to all high schools, is designed to help young people appreciate the decisions that have to be made in local government.
