Gardening in Cleveleys
Apply to become a volunteer for the parks and open spaces team using our online form.
We are looking to recruit volunteers to provide support for the council’s gardeners in Cleveleys.
You will be working in areas such as Jubilee Park, Thornton Gate, the duck pond on Victoria Road and tending to the longest flowerbeds in Wyre that now span the length of the promenade.
The promenade is home to a special collection of coastal plants, and with a backdrop of seaside sculptors this is a unique volunteering role.
You could be:
- Planting, seeding and watering.
- Monitoring the special collection of coastal plants.
- Maintaining the general area and keeping it tidy.
- Sweeping/cleaning footpaths.
No powered machinery is involved.
Work in this role may be physically demanding but rewarding.
This is a great opportunity to get out doors, be active and contribute your green fingered gardening skills to the community.
For more information you can contact the Volunteer Co-ordinator on 01253 887504 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
