Great Eccleston extension masterplan
The emerging Wyre local plan allocates land for a substantial village extension at Great Eccleston. The extension will create a mixed use development including residential and employment uses, a community hall, medical centre, new primary school, and local small convenience store. The emerging local plan requires the allocation to be brought forward through a masterplan that will be used to guide the future development of the site.
To inform the masterplan, De Pol Associates on behalf of the landowners and developer interests has produced a series of masterplan concepts and supporting material that illustrate alternative ways in which the site can be developed.
Wyre council supported a six week consultation on the masterplan concepts from 11 December 2018 to 5pm 22 January 2019. This consultation has now closed.
The council has published the comments received (with names and personal details removed). A summary of the key issues raised will also be published in due course. The comments received will inform the development of the final masterplan which will be progressed by De Pol Associates and the council.
