Important information for walkers

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of all guided walks to allow for registration and putting on boots.

Published finish times of walks are approximate.

If you cannot attend an activity that you are booked on, please advise the leader or Visit Garstang Centre in good time so that someone else may be given the chance to attend.

Dogs are not normally allowed on guided walks unless otherwise stated on the event listing (usually health walks and legstretchers) to avoid disturbance to nesting birds and potential problems with livestock. Where dogs are allowed they must be kept under close control, and on a lead when requested by the leader. You must also clean up after them.

Please wear suitable clothes to match the type of activity which is suitable for weather conditions, including footwear and waterproof clothing.

Bring a drink with you, particularly on the longer walks, and any medication you may need during the walk.

For some activities you may need additional equipment such as binoculars or camera.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
