Anyone interested in trying their hand at gardening is invited to Memorial Park’s gardening club, which is held behind the pavilion on Wednesday mornings, 9.30am until 12noon.
The demonstration garden has six raised beds, three ‘yardens’, a 30ft x 10ft poly-tunnel, a large fruit bed, vegetable and perennial flower beds and a teaching space in the pavilion.
The club is free to attend, and all abilities are welcome even if you have limited knowledge or capability. It’s a great way to improve your health and meet new people, learn (or share) gardening skills, and enjoy a brew and a chat.
No need to book - just turn up.
