Wyre remains under Tier 3 (Very High) restrictions

The Government has announced there are no changes being made to Covid-19 restrictions in Wyre and we will remain in Tier 3 (Very High).
In response, Councillor David Henderson, Leader of Wyre Council, said:
“Today we find ourselves remaining under the same Tier 3 restrictions. I have strongly pushed for Wyre along with the rest of the Fylde coast to be moved into Tier 2, and if that were not possible, then for more businesses to be allowed to open. Sadly this has not been the case. It is disappointing to find that we remain under the tightest restrictions, especially for the many businesses affected in Wyre.
“With Christmas approaching we must now do what we can to keep our infection rates low. If we all continue to pull together and stick to the guidance we would hope to move into a lower tier in early 2021.”
