Reopening the high streets safely

shop ope Published Friday, 12 June 2020

From Monday 15 June, more shops will be open in the borough. We're looking forward to welcoming you back and want everyone to stay safe.

Help us protect you and others

In order to welcome everyone back to the shops safely, we all have a role to play.

It is vital that you:

  • Wash and sanitise your hands regularly
  • Give each other space and socially distance
  • Wear a face covering wherever social distancing is not possible
  • Stay home if you feel unwell

Other key ways you can keep yourself and everyone else safe is through:

  • Being prepared to queue
  • Going cashless if you can
  • Only picking up things you are going to buy

These new rules are in place to keep all of us safe - shoppers, employees and business owners.

Plan your journey

Please plan your journey ahead of time, and if you're using public transport ensure you have a face covering and the correct money.

We ask for your continued patience as we all adapt to the new circumstances.

We are working with partners to put measures in place to keep everyone safe.
