Support is still available for residents and businessesPublished Friday, 15 May 2020
We are proud to have been providing help and support to our community since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic.
A range of support is still available to help those in need:
Our hubs are still helping isolated and vulnerable people in our community. If you're struggling without help from friends or family we are here to help. Read more about Wyre Together and apply for help here.
Since April 1 we have paid £25.5 million in grants to local businesses. We have paid 80% of businesses now who are eligible for the grants scheme. The government announced a new discretionary business grants scheme on 1 May and we have been waiting for the guidance which was published on 14 May. We are in the process of determining our scheme and setting up an application process and this will take some time. We ask for patience as we do this as it is important that we establish a consistent approach that complies with government guidance and further clarification is awaited. We will post further updates as soon as we know more. Further updates will be posted on our business support page.
