Wyre Council is taking precautions to deal with high tides expected along the coastline.

A yellow warning of wind has been issued from 21.00 on Wednesday 17 January through to 15:00 on Thursday 18 January.

We do not anticipate any flooding issues, however as a precaution we have installed storm boards and closed storm gates at Cleveleys.

Council officers are monitoring the situation closely and on standby should the conditions worsen.

Members of the public are advised to stay off the promenade and beach for their own safety during high tides.
