The UK’s number one comedy club returns to FleetwoodPublished Tuesday, 27 June 2017
They’ve gone down a storm over the last few years, and now Jongleurs comedy nights are back in town as the country’s best stand-up comedians are gracing the stage at Marine Hall, Fleetwood once more.
On Friday 14 July, the hilarious Dominic Woodward will be joined by Eddy Brimson, Mark Maier and Geoff Boyz.
Dominic Woodward started comedy young and wide eyed back in 2001, with over 16 years in the business, he is cheeky, charming, full or energy and hilarious.
Now married with a mortgage, Dominic weaves side-splitting stories about his life and tells belly aching jokes that hit the mark with all audiences. There’s a naughty twinkle in his eyes but his act is warm, personal and inoffensive. With over 2000 shows under his belt, Dominic knows how to tickle the funny bone of all audiences.
He will be joined by talented award-winning writer and stand-up, Mark Maier, an established and highly sought after performer on both the national and international comedy circuits. Mark has worked the comedy clubs of Germany, Holland, Ireland, Hong Kong, The Bahamas, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand and has also appeared at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles and Caroline’s in New York.
Amongst his many credits, Mark has taught and performed improvisation with Catherine Tate in London and has had a string of successful radio series, in which he was both writer and performer.
Next up is Eddy Brimson, one of the UK circuits most in demand comedy acts. Eddy is equally at home internationally having taken to the stage from Norway to China with just about everywhere in between. He was one of the first ever comics to perform in Myanmar and invitations to perform at the Altitude Festival in the French Alps, the New Zealand International Comedy Festival and both the Melbourne and Perth Comedy Festivals in Australia have secured his place in the comedy industry. He is also a regular at the Edinburgh Festival where he once even played a gig naked! Thankfully no cameras were allowed into the venue.
Completing the evening’s line up is Scottish comedian and impressionist, Geoff Boyz who made his solo debut at the festival with a superb one-man show back in 1996.
On television Geoff has been featured in Comedy Rules (STV) Live at the Comedy Store (Channel 5) and has presented on ITV’s This Morning. He’s also worked as a warm-up for television on recent shows including They Think it’s all Over (BBC 1), Dead Ringers (BBC 2) and Jack Dee (BBC 1). He co-wrote and starred in the BBC Radio 5 series Colin and was the hit act on Radio 2s The Stand Up Show.
Brought to you by Jongleurs, the UK's number one comedy company, this bunch will have you rolling in the aisles with laughter. It’s a great Friday night out so grab a group of friends and enjoy the funniest night out in town. Tickets are just £12 or £10 each if you book at table of ten or more.
