It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Published Thursday, 27 October 2016

It’s almost time for the annual Christmas Market at Marine Hall, Fleetwood and this year there’s lots of new additions to the event for you to enjoy.

Taking place on Sunday 20 November, from 10am to 4pm, entry is free and with over 50 exhibitors it’s perfect for picking up all your festive food, drink and gifts.

Held outdoors along the colonnade and inside the beautiful theatre, the market will be filled with traditional handmade gifts, unique craft items and delicious food and drink - everything you need for your Christmas celebrations.

The best of local independent traders will be selling gifts for all the family with individual handcrafted items and one of a kind pieces. Why not treat yourself to a glass of mulled wine while you browse the stalls and stock up on tasty treats for Christmas time. Choose food for the big day while you fill up your cheeseboard, grab some tasty chutney and stock up on wines and ciders. You can also enjoy some delicious food for lunch from one of the street food vendors outside.

Brand new for this year is the Hungry Games challenge taking place at 2pm! Come along to watch as contestants come up on stage to try all sorts of weird and wonderful foods…blindfolded! See who can tell what’s on their plate the quickest.

There’s plenty for children to enjoy too including pizza making with Rustic to Regal from 11am -3pm, gingerbread decorating with Enticing Cakes, picture making with Kids Bee Happy Sand Art, and of course no trip to the market would be complete without a trip to see Santa in his grotto.

Plus the fabulous Thornton Cleveleys Brass Band will be performing throughout the day with music to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.

Janet Heald, Events and Front of House Manager at Marine Hall comments, “We all love this time of year, there’s lots going on at Marine Hall and the market really kick starts our Christmas season. We’ve got lots of new stalls, as well as many familiar faces at this year’s event so there will be plenty for everyone to enjoy. We are very much looking forward to the Hungry Games challenge, it’s nice to have a bit of fun and it’s a great way to celebrate the variety of food our exhibitors bring to the festival.”
