The UK's number one comedy club returns to Fleetwood

Steve Harris Published Thursday, 29 September 2016

They’ve gone down a storm over the last few years, and now Jongleurs comedy nights are back in town as the country’s best stand-up comedians are gracing the stage at Marine Hall, Fleetwood once more.

On Friday 14 October, MC Sally-Anne Hayward will be joined by the hilarious Steve Harris, Mike Wilkinson, and Rob Deering.

Sally-Anne Hayward is an accomplished radio presenter with many TV appearances to her name. Her confident persona and quick wit have rapidly made her a much sought after comedian on the comedy club circuit.  Sally is a regular compere at the Glastonbury Festival and has written numerous Edinburgh Fringe shows as well as performing all over the world supporting Sarah Milican, Russell Howard and Russell Kane.

She will be joined by Steve Harris who is just back from entertaining troops on the front line, boosting morale for British and NATO troops. Steve has received rave reviews from the comedy world including Billy Connolly who said ““he made me howl with laughter.”

Steve’s comedic ability comes from his flexibility and warm nature. Whether he’s dealing with hecklers or his mum has found out where he’s playing, there’s always a level of warmth in his attack even if it is pre-emptive. His most obvious asset is his ability to get any audience on his side, a well-crafted act and a will and confidence to survive outside of it, is what sets Steve aside from many of his peers. With most comedians you might get laughs with Steve you get a guarantee. With support slots with the likes of Johnny Vegas, Peter Kay and Lee Evans, Steve comes highly recommended from the heavy weights of comedy themselves. See him now before he gets too big.

Next up is Mike Wilkinson who describes his act at “northern everyday life made silly.” Full to the brim with down to earth northern charm, Mike takes a bemused glance at the world and then throws it a smile. The laughs come thick and fast with Wilkinson’s dry humour and razor sharp wit. A professional comic for over 10 years, Mike has supported Peter Kay, Johnny Vegas, Ross Noble and others, and headlines comedy clubs across the country.

Completing the evening’s line up is Rob Deering, the UK’s foremost guitar-wielding, loop-layering stand-up comedian! With his easy charm, cheesy singing voice, razor-sharp wit, red-hot guitar skills and clownish physicality, Rob has established himself as a firm stand-up favourite. Since exploding onto the comedy scene in 2000, Rob has cemented his live reputation with three sell-out solo shows at The Edinburgh Festival and performances in Australia as part of the World Comedy Tour TV show.

Brought to you by Jongleurs, the UK's number one comedy company, this bunch will have you rolling in the aisles with laughter.  It’s a great Friday night out so grab a group of friends and enjoy the funniest night out in town. Tickets are just £12 or £10 each if you book at table of ten or more.

The bar is open from 7pm so you can enjoy a drink before the show starts at 8pm. To book your seats call Marine Hall on 01253 887693 or visit

Please note the show is over 18s only and the line up is subject to change.
