It’s almost panto time at Marine Hall, Fleetwood Published Thursday, 26 November 2015

Bring all the family to Marine Hall this Christmas for some good old panto fun.

Soap opera star Chris Simmons is heading up the cast of this year's show alongside CBBC’s Lucinda Rhodes. Best known for pounding the beat on ITV's The Bill for 10 years, Chris will be playing the part of the Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz when it comes to Fleetwood on 10 – 13 December.

Join Dorothy as she befriends a brainless scarecrow, a loveable tin man and the cowardly lion on their quest to thwart the evil powers of the wicked witch of the west. With a little help from Glinda the good fairy and the almighty and powerful wizard of Oz, good is sure to conquer evil.

The actor, who grew up in Gravesend, Kent, made his name as DC Mickey Webb on The Bill, but he has also appeared in EastEnders and in CBBC's Tracy Beaker. He says: “I'm delighted to be in the Marine Hall Christmas panto this year, it looks like it's going to be a lot of fun!"

Young audiences will also be familiar with children’s TV star Lucinda Rhodes who plays Glinda the Good Fairy and is best known for her roles in children's television shows including Cavegirl and My Parents are Aliens.

The Wizard of Oz is brought to you by Trio Entertainment, the same team behind the recent much loved pantomimes at Marine Hall including Cinderella (2014), Snow White (2013) and Aladdin (2012).

This Christmas treat is fun for all ages from 2 to 102! Packed with great songs, brilliant dance routines and plenty of laughter, it’s going to be the best value family-friendly pantomime in town.

The Wizard of Oz is on at Marine Hall from the 10 to 13 December and tickets are just £8.50. To find out times and to book tickets visit or call the box office on 01253 887693.
